Why did you decide to volunteer your time? I have helped with the United Way Campaign at the Craig Station since 1982, My Children have all grown up and left home and I have served on other boards, in the past within the community and I have a little more time to help out with the United Way. I have always felt that this was a good organization.
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? United Way has done a great job in our community; it is a great way to get dollars to organizations that do great services for the needy of Moffat County.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? I believe the United Way organization is going in the correct direction with it new program on Outcome Based Measurements. I hope to become an active member in getting this program running. I believe this will not only help the United Way organization on handing out dollars that do the most good for our community but hope it will also help the organizations that we serve become efficient and bring like organization together to better service our community.

Why did you decide to volunteer your time? I have been volunteering in a variety of capacities for many, many years. I have seen amazing changes that volunteers can make and, for me, volunteering is very personally fulfilling.
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? The United Way is a wonderful resource for many agencies. I worked for the VNA and saw the impact that United Way money had on different programs offered by the VNA. As a former Scout leader, I had applied for a United Way grant to fund a special dinner for senior citizens. That small grant made a huge impression on those senior citizens. They were able to enjoy good food, good friends and entertainment for an evening. United Way offers amenities that many non-profit organizations would not be able to afford.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? My hope is that in some small way I can contribute to the ongoing phenomenal United Way campaign in Moffat County and to help maintain or increase contribution levels. Another goal is to become better acquainted with our member agencies.

What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? There are many important organizations that help make this a better community, and without financial backing, would not function.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? Get employees of small businesses to start giving each month, no matter how small the amount. This will get them involved in the process of donating, and encourage them to learn about the needs of many of those in our community.

Why did you decide to volunteer your time? It was suggested to me by my employer as a way to get more involved in the community and help pay back and make a difference. I would like to represent Twentymile Coal as one of the largest contributors to the United Way and be more informed of how those contributions are being used.
What makes the United Way an important organization in Craig and Moffat County? It is the most "visible" charity in our community. United Way is very public with stating their goals. United Way also visits many businesses and employers in person to ask for contributions.
What are your goals for United Way in the coming months or years? I would like to help make sure that funds are being received by the entities designated on the contribution forms. I would also like to make sure non-profit entities know how to request help from the United Way.
